What is Valor Axis?

Valor Axis is:

The series is written in a close third-person perspective and features high-resolution pixel art illustrations.

The story of Valor Axis follows main protagonists—Javier and Shade—as they navigate their vast and unstable world. Their journey centers on the struggle against a hyper-memory toxin infecting their home, drawing them to several factions that aid or oppose them.

How long will Valor Axis be?

Valor Axis is currently planned to be 100 episodes long.

Each episode is called a Venture. The plan is for this series to be divided into three parts, with Part 1 and Part 2 containing 33 Ventures, while the final Part 3 contains 34 Ventures. These numbers are subject to change as the series is created.

Ventures are first published as a Version 0, which is an ongoing in-progress draft that will change over time. Version 0 is NON-CANON—presenting each Venture in an early development stage. Once the Venture is finalized, a Version 1 will be released—which is the polished CANON state of each Venture. This versioning system exists to support the current writing process; it is also subject to change.

Who is in charge of Valor Axis?

Valor Axis is created by me, under my pen name of Wes Valen, and owned through my LLC of Shadow Gale Productions LLC. All the writing and artwork for Valor Axis is produced just by me. To support or follow me on social media, click here.

I am a Chilean writer/artist and have been working on Valor Axis for many years. The series started taking shape in my mind around 2005, but I began actively working on it since 2007, when I wrote and drew my characters for the first time.

Valor Axis then went through several massive revisions over the years, exploring a variety of different mediums and accumulating a wide range of influences. I finally decided to share my illustrations online in 2024 and started publishing the very first Venture of the series in 2026.
